Facts: Since 1801, Huboldt, Cochrane and Contractros Ltd. were some of the notable people that tried to discover the secret behind the legend. In 1925 the English captain Percy Fawcett and his son have made the last expedition on the region of Caiapó Sierra in Brazil. They were never found again.
More than 100 expeditions on the region was lost and the misteries behind that legend remains till today.
